So my twitter account got suspended permanently because i didnt add a phone number to it in time.

I hate twitter but nobody i want to follow is on the fediverse. But also my accounts keep getting banned because I don't add a phone number to them.

What DE are you running? πŸ€” Why I ask is because a lot of you guys are talking about the Gnome40 :gnome: release and I wanted to see If that changed your decisions on what will be your main DE 😁

Let's make a colour together! <3

We have ourselves a winner in the 3rd Programming Language World Championships! #plwc2021

Congratulations to Python, which was able to defend its title in a 59 - 41 victory over Rust.

Third place goes to C with a convincing 61- 39 against Go.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the polls! See you next year for the fourth edition! ❀️

My old XPS 15 is slowly giving up and I am looking for a good replacement with a fast processor running OpenBSD/Linux dual boot. Recommendations welcome.

Primarily wrote it so i could properly document how you can download and use custom icons. Something that is extremely handy when running web apps that dont have their sites optimized for it.

Wrote my first ever blog post after being frustrated with just how shit Discord is under linux and how im now using installable webapps for all my web applications.

Feedback welcome :D

Really fascinating to listen to the design process behind the new logo for #Fedora

πŸ“£ Programming Language World Championships 2021 #plwc2021 πŸ“£

A knockout tournament where 32 programming languages compete against each other, and you decide the winner of each round by voting.

There will be two matches per day, and in two weeks time we'll have a winner!

Discussions are encouraged, but please, keep it civil and peaceful.

It's just a fun game!

GNOME 40 on the pinetab really feels right. If I can just figure out the gestures. It is really quite smooth.

Decided to update to GNOME 40 and Fedora 34 Silverblue early. Its been running good so far. Going to have to battle test it some more.

Loving the new gesture support!

For me its a hard choice between rpm or pacman.

I really enjoy pacman as its a very centralized package manager. Where almost everything is in the repos, and the rest is a search away in the AUR with community made PKGBUILDs. But that can also be a double edged sword.

RPM is moreso that Fedora uses it, and together with rpmfusion I rarely need to go elsewhere for packages. It has also never broken on me, compared to apt with its PPAs.

Spicy poll time.

What is your preferred packaging system?

Decided to move from my old account handle, @jex as its no longer a name i want to associate with. Gonna see if i can be more active on here again! 😎
