@skunksarebetter Simutrans is so great. This is the game showcased by us in 2003 on #Linuxtag in Karlsruhe, Germany.

@Orzesnet @skunksarebetter Im my humble opinion: simutrans is more serious and oriented towards realism and flow of goods. OpenTTD is great as well but not so deeply simulated if that makes sense.

@holarse @Orzesnet @skunksarebetter if i'm picking up either openttd or simutrans for the first time, which one should i choose? also needs to be accessible for wife/kids who might want to play.

@simon @Orzesnet @skunksarebetter for kids from the age of 7 or older I would recommend #openttd as it is easier accessible and does not let you fail so easily. My wife is a hardcore gamer so I don’t know what you mean by accessible here.
