I was discussing + with @daviwil earlier and captured my thoughts here gemini://
I'm not sure I'm comfortable with writing a traditional blog posts but dipping my toes into sharing content via .
Web proxy:

Any folks know what's going on? I added an image link to my capsule [1] but Ariane browser on Android won't handle it but the web proxy [2] works just fine.
As a noob, I'm not sure if it's an issue with the app or the binary or the gemtext (don't see a spec violation). Thoughts?

"From 2015 to 2019, #Iceland ran the world's largest trial of a shorter working week. An analysis of the results was finally published this week, and surprise! Everyone was happier, healthier, and more productive. Please pretend to be surprised."

Just used an excellent package for uploading text/files/clipboard to (a pastebin site). Package made by nackjicholson on, met him on channel run by @daviwil

The package isn't in melpa yet, but you can install it from gitlab:

Any / users have suggestions on choosing between and ? Ideally, I'd also like to use a text based configuration system so I can apply all settings to all machines easily.

is too minimal, I still want to have a clock, notification center, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth indicators.

What's the best way to share a post from Pixelfed so it keeps Pixelfed's rendering?

I have this "panorama" split into three segments which are seamlessly scrolled on the Pixelfed UI but show's up as three separate images in Mastodon.

Here's the post in question.... I don't think boosting it is the right answer?!

Looking for people who regularly use screen readers to browse the web.

A dev version of [1] currently has 100% score by [2] and 0 errors according to WAVE [3] but still I'd hope to receive some real-world feedback and ensure what I develop can truly be used by all.

Boosts appreciated.

Hey folks! I've been having trouble with my account for a while so I took this opportunity to create one on instead.

This suite of apps and the PaperDE look pretty nice and are designed for low resource systems, a variety of screen sizes and to be touch friendly. I would like to see how well these work on the Pinephone.

Some time ago I saw a toot where an awesome blind woman appreaciated the fact that in masto it is more likely that pictures will have description with it. I then made it a habit to provide description if i am tooting a picture and i encourage you to do the same if you are not doing it. โœŒ๏ธ

Been away a while, hope the community is doing well!

Wanted to get a conversation going about podman and distros. For my self-hosted services, I'm switching over from docker to podman (still planning to use docker-compose) to orchestrate. Any thoughts or advice on host OS distros? Playing around with podman on pop!_os for now, are there any advantages to running it on a "server" distro (headless resource considerations aside)?

Hi everyone! I want to try to be more active and engaged with this community.

I'm a little overwhelmed trying to figure out how to engage and get in dialog with the community.

But here are my main active projects:
- Building a greenhouse so I can start a tree nursery
- Building more Johnson-Su Bioreactors (I have three so far)
- Writing a web app for managing my little mushroom farm.
- Digging a gopher fence around my food forest.

So excited to announce Keyoxide version 3.0.0 ๐ŸŽ‰

This update was worth the wait, with a (much needed ๐Ÿ˜Ž) redesign that is cleaner and more consistent that before.

Now also featuring server-side rendering! So not only pretty darn fast, but also parseable by Mastodon! Keyoxide links in Mastodon bio with a โœ… for everyone ๐Ÿคฉ

Thank all for your support. Here's to taking our online identity back from Big Tech!

Thanks for participating all, good to see there are a few users around here. I'm planning to start with Colemak mod-dhm on a split ortho linear keyboard.
If anyone stumbles upon this in the future, there was a lot of good discussion on this other thread:

Hey fediverse, what layout are you using? Vote for and comment for other layouts.
Would love to hear your thoughts on Colemak and Workman specifically. Boosts appreciated.

@cadey I found and enjoyed your blog series in the wild. Are you still sticking with Colemak? I'm looking to switch and doing a lot of reading before committing.
