I've been an avid fan of #pocketcasts for years and bought it on all platforms. While I'm not a fan of the subscription model, I did appreciate that they didn't convert existing users to the new model and never looked for alternatives. Until I heard about the interface upgrade for #antennapod.
I switched over and it's an excellent piece of software packed with features and with a great eye for UI and UX. Congratulations to the team on a great release!
@TabsNotSpacesAM sad to hear that you're going on hiatus but totally understandable. Good luck to you and your family. Hopefully you'll be back, maybe even as a monthly podcast!?
Published another update to my FOSS project: QCard
Added more information about how it all works.
Please drop me any feedback!
Boosts Appreciated, I think this has a really cool use-case! 🚀
Interesting edge case on how someone could unwittingly run afoul of #github policies: http://joeyh.name/blog/entry/how_to_publish_git_repos_that_cannot_be_republished_to_github/
Is it just me, or is this a really good idea?
Big announcement time 🎉
This #keyoxide project started as a "labor of love" side project but the awesome community response clearly showed me it deserved even more attention and care.
I'm excited to announce that NLnet / @NGIZero will be funding the project, allowing me to dedicate my full time to it and contribute in my own way to our collective struggle for online identity and security.
I thank all of you for your motivating feedback. Now, we can really begin 😎
Seeking a little fediverse advice/learning use-cases... I would like to discover and follow interesting photographers on #pixelfed. Since that's part of the fediverse, I can follow anyone from this #fosstodon account (awesome!). But how do I browse and discover (without creating a pixelfed account)?
What do y'all do? Multiple accounts and apps or discover with specific accounts on specific platforms and then follow from a main fediverse identity?

If you are or are not a #signal user, please consider taking the signal user survey. Signal does not collect analytics on their users to respect privacy and I appreciate them transparently asking for the feedback instead. Also, if you haven't tried signal in the last year+ they have made significant user experience improvements (new features, ease of use, stability).
By way of #introductions I produce a twice-weekly, TTS-voiced, Linux and open source news podcast that aims not to waste your time. You can check out the latest episode here:
And if you work on a project with a major milestone coming up, do get in touch so I can perhaps give it some publicity.

I just learned about mastodon and I am fascinated by its concept.
Hoping to find some chill people here to talk about my interests!
#keyoxidizer release 0.1.0 is out. Which means I'm hopeful it does what it claims: provides a guided experience in setting up @keyoxide. Currently supports: DNS, Gitea, Github, and Mastodon proofs. If you try it, and find a bug / have suggestions please let me know.
The repo is now also on @codeberg: https://codeberg.org/shom/keyoxidizer
It'll continue to be pushed to both Codeberg and Github: https://github.com/shombando/keyoxidizer in keeping with the spirit of making things easier for users.
