My latest patch for @tenacity finally adds CI for Alpine Linux! 🎉
*BSD is next 👀
I'm sick and tired of people telling me email is bad.
New blog post: "No, mailing lists aren't complicated, actually"
Tenacity is a free open privacy-friendly audio editing and recording app, forked from Audacity. You can follow at:
The project's website is at https://tenacityaudio.org
It's based on Audacity, but with the controversial stuff removed. The project is new, and contributors are welcome.
(If you're wondering why people are leaving Audacity: https://www.techradar.com/news/audacity-fans-are-absolutely-furious-right-now-heres-why )
For any trans people who need to hear this:
Your body is beautiful. You're worthy of being desired, if that's something you want.
Whether you choose to transition (and in whatever direction you want), and wherever you are in that process -- you're seen, you are believed, and I'm proud to be your sibling.
When you look in the mirror, you deserve to hear, "Hey, Beautiful." If you don't hear it in your voice, hear it in mine.
Your strength is incredible. You come from a long tradition of transgender people, stretching back to the earliest days of humanity.
Let the haters shout into the void. You don't need to. The Void already loves you. ✨
(cis people please boost)
There's a new Matrix homeserver software?
And it's written in Go?
how the hell have I not heard about this
Or... maybe not? Follow the discussion on IRC.
From what it looks like, GitHub will continue to be the main hub for the project. This might be the right choice, as the community supports it, but it misaligns with my ideals and philosophies and I will not continue to administer the sourcehut account.
The core Tenacity team is full of nothing but good people, and I have talked about this with them. Please treat them with respect.
I'm excited to see what Tenacity is going to accomplish!
@codeberg it might be a good idea to actively participate in the following discussion:
It doesn't make any sense that a fork, meant to combat the anti-FOSS advancements of Muse, is hosted on a proprietary software forge.
It seems to me that, as with tablets, Apple's dominance over smartwatches won't end anytime soon. The FOSS projects are amazing to look at, but they're still not production ready, not for a while.
I want a watch purely for sleep and sport, and I don't need any phone integration like messages/emails/music (I'd actually rather it be offline). This stuff is possible on AW even with an Android.
The Watch S3 looks nice, but it's obvious I'll be paying extra for the logo. Is there an alternative?
#foss developers, which are you:
A- this project is not on github? No problem, I'll make an account on their server and contribute.
B- this project is not on github? Not worth the effort.
