I swear this one guy shows up at the end of the day just to see if he can figure out what we do with our cash.

The benefits of being friends with my yard manager. His wife bakes me fresh homemade bread.

I need some sunglasses so customers can't see me rolling my eyes at them.

New owner’s safety manager, every time he calls: How’s your day going for you?
Me: *laughter*

Answering questions in this safety questionnaire is like pouring water on a mogwai. They multiply.

One dude in the payment room won't stop laughing and I want to punch him in the throat box.

Some of these folks are disgusting. Walking in with their hand in their pants.

This area is truly terrible for theft.

We bought a property from auction that used to be a tank production facility. It went under years ago. In the time that it's been sitting there, ALL of the copper wiring throughout the building, and even in the overhead crane units, has been stripped out by scavengers.

One negative about cement floors and steel-toed shoes: the cold sets in quickly and sticks around.

Another day, another d...esire to punch technology in the face.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my scanner, but right now I don’t like it very much.

So, when the trucker quit last week, I wasn't surprised. I was, however, surprised at his excuse.
He explained to my colleague (who is NOT technologically apt) that he'd explored the "deep web" about the new owner, and that he'd found many naughty things.

OK, dude, you barely know how to navigate Telegram, let alone "explore the deep web"

Worked on some training sheets today for my Girl Friday to take over some of my tasks. It's funny how I'll make things more efficient for other people once I have to train them to do it, but I never do it for myself. Probably because it would take me less time to do it the way I started than it would take anyone else to do it the way I modified it.

Maybe it's the lockdown or my Friday night glass of wine, but I ROFL'ed a bit too hard on this :blobcatgoogly2:

A scrap yard on a Friday when it warms up is one of the busiest places to be. We had a merry-go-round of loads happening here - just trailer after trailer after trailer.

It is FRIDAY today. I've got all my paperwork done for the two loads going out today. I'm prepping staff info to send to the new owners. Today is going SO well already.

*sings Rebecca Black's "Friday"*

You're welcome.

Remember, a few hour of trial and error can save you several minutes of looking at the README.
