About a month ago, I watched Atomic Shrimp's video on "bio snacky", that's basically a jar with mesh on it for sprouting beans (Video here: https://youtu.be/30CIZyAIsFk ) and decided to try myself.
I didn't have any mung beans so I used lentils. It went really well, and pretty much all sprouted. Ate them in a salad, just tasted like bean sprouts.
Yeah, this is the finest stuff I had, I'll probably have to drain it through a cloth.
A friend mentioned I should keep them in the dark until they have leaves so it's more like being in soil (last time I just had it on the window sill). Did you do that? I'm more likely to forget they exist if they're not in front of me.
@george_ That makes sense, Maybe they would get longer before they start trying to leaf out? I always leave mine by the kitchen sink (right by a window), and works out fine. I'm like you, I'd forget about them unless they're right in front of me.
