Started a new account on Still don't fully grok how it works so I started a new one there and am not sure if I should delete my one or not. Not sure if a global timeline showing pixelfed instances outside your own is coming or not.

Nice crisp morning walk at the park before warmer weather and rain arrives supposedly tomorrow. Added benefit of making Bertie more lazy and less of a demanding jerk this afternoon. 😉

Fancy utility knife. One of the gifts my wife gave me. Decided to have some fun with the 85mm lens. The Christmas tree provided such a nice bokeh background. Bertie is just relieved he is not the subject of yet another photo for once. :-)

I want to do more photography and other creative things this coming year. It's been a long drought for me in that respect.

I just watched this smaller budget sci-fi movie on Netflix called Upgrade. It was *way* better than most I've seen. Lean, mean, and a quality thriller.

Finally recharged my Canon 7D and put on the 50mm f1.8 lens. Took a similar shot with my Pixel 5 and cropped. Phone camera shots are suprisingly good these days, but sheesh, they're really still miles apart in some ways. I won't label them, I think you'll be able to tell which is which.

Apparently my wife says pajamas are a new Christmas tradition here. I wasn't aware of this. Consider this the lodging of my official protest. ;-)

Though I gotta say, they are comfortable.

See @randynose, it doubles as a home office and gift wrapping station! It's messy but I love it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Typically we don't keep cookies in the house. But it's the holiday season and yesterday afternoon I had a hankering of the coffee-dipping sort. Turns out I'm not the only one 😏.
Nutella is still on the self-imposed banned item list though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My reward after a long difficult day (not really) getting my Dad to and from his cataract surgery today. At least that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. 😉

Nice result from Night Sight and the wide angle lens... and the fresh snowfall today. 👍

You gotta love serendipity. Frustration reading about a Georgia Senator testing positive for Covid... leads to Reddit comment thread about Elmer Fudd... leads to a link to an entertaining humour read from 30 years ago. 👍

Out doing some shopping for my Dad this morning. This was basically his list. The man will never die of scurvy that's for sure. Lol!

I'm blown away by the battery life on this Pixel 5. I'm at 5 hours of screen on time and still at 56% battery. Sheesh.

Always good to learn about something. As you'd suspect there's a lot more to getting you and I stable power than you might normally think about.
