Collapsed Mastodon – Get this Extension for Firefox (en-US)

@randynose Well thanks for this !
I guess it'll replace the Mastodon "No-Scroll" stylesheet
@HorlogeSkynet Hey, I thought it was a nice find. I don't need it so much on my larger screen, but it certainly helps on the laptop.
@HorlogeSkynet
What was the No-Scroll Stylesheet? Do you have a screen shot?
@randynose Just check the link above
@randynose Very cool! I use Vivaldi as my browser, but there's a Chrome version that works in Vivaldi. Love the reply feature. That's been my biggest issue with the current Mastodon interface.
@mike I'll have to check out the Chrome Extension also, but I'm trying to #degooglefy things here and there.
I'm also trying out Mastodon As a Sidebar. (The Light Blue section) I've got some overkill in this screenshot on my "desk" laptop. But I think that the Sidebar might be helpful for someone trying to multi-task. Or Be distracted in multiple places.
@randynose Yea, I ran Mastodon in a sidebar (also a feature of Vivaldi) for a while. I just found it distracted me from what I was doing in the main window. It's better for me to focus on one thing at a time, because my brain is going to do that anyway.If I'm looking at Fosstodon, I need to just look at Fosstodon. If I'm doing something else, that needs to be where my attention is.
@mike I hear you. That's why I don't listen to many podcasts when I'm playing around on the computer, simple because if I do, I'll tune them out anyway and focus on what I'm reading.
@randynose It would be nice if the CollapsedMastodon would get rid of the "Getting Started" column too. There's a lot of duplication in that column in my opinion, and it's space that could be better used.
You mean like this? I just unpinned everything except my one List and Notifications, The Far Left Column seems to rotate populating with Responses, or Federated Timeline, or Local Timeline, or a person's Profile.
@randynose Kind of, but not really. The right hand column is whatever is selected. See, I already have the local timeline pinned, so I have no reason to have it on the right. I don't want the Fed. I would love to see a floating window for profiles instead of putting it into a column. There's no reason to put a thread into that column. I'd rather see the column I'm in populate with the current toots thread. See Tweetdeck for that kind of behavior.
