I like to create and contribute to open-source projects in my free time. I was born and raised in Brazil 🇧🇷, but I live in Europe 🇪🇺 for about 10 years. I'm a big enthusiast of Rust 🦀 and I also have a lot of experience with Python 🐍.

I love to talk about technology and I write code for a living for more than 15 years. I build custom mechanical keyboards, so you might see this also poping around here. ⌨ Feel free to follow if you have any interests in common or not.. 😀

I've put together a survey about the Small Internet (#gopher, #gemini, individual webpages, small community sites) and I would love your input. If you are a small internet user, please spend a few minutes and fill in your thoughts. I'm especially interested in the open response questions. This will help inform an upcoming conference talk I'll be giving at

Also, please boost this on fedi as much as possible and feel free to re-share on other social networks and in other communities. The more responses the better.

Please boost for reach. So, anyone that is working on FOSS projects like web apps, sites, Linux apps, desktop environments, or other user interfaces, please let me know if you want them tested for accessibility. I can do both CLI, web, and GUI testing, and app testing on Android. I'm running Debian (on a ChromeBook but that's not too important), so just give me the name of the package, or the URL of the site or app. I can also do Flatpak!

Okay, time for a new #poll. How many different #web #browser do you use across all your devices? IE, #phone, #tablet, #laptop #computer, #desktop, etc.

And I mean all different browsers: #Chrome (and chrome variants), #Edge, #Safari, #Firefox (and Libre Wold, Seamonkey, etc.), #Vivaldi, #Opera and all others.

As always: please boost so we get some really good data.

After the decision of the US Supreme Court on abortion rights, I hope that Christian extremism is taken as seriously as Muslim extremism.

Because I assure that, if you replace the suit and tie with the tribal outfit, and the references to Jesus with those to Mohammad, this scum of the earth sounds exactly the same.

For those of you who have been testing the @bonfire playground and then got frustrated by slowdowns, there's a fix and things are faster again! 🙌

Hey I found an open source menstrual cycle tracking app called Drip that doesn't call home to anyone and encrypts your data on your device. It's gender inclusive and it has a prebuilt version Android that you can get either on F-Droid or on their site here:

They have an iOS version but it's not pre compiled. I'll be working on that today so you can get loaded onto your Apple devices, along with the instructions to install it on said Apple device.

Please boost so others can see this!

Today, the Bonfire team is excited to announce our beta release 🔥🎉

We’re aware that Bonfire still needs a lot of work - like ensuring it federates as expected and improving configurability, accessibility and user experience - but that’s the point: we decided to launch at this stage with the intention of building the 1.0 release as a community.

Even though this poll isn't official, it's a great way to gauge the general public's opinion on something like this. Do you think that

The events that take place in the history of American constitutionalism currently coincide with the fact that this week, in Brazil, a Judge of Law was removed from the case involving the rape of a 11 year child, having denied to the victim the legal right to abortion in case of rape, law established and in force here. We don't see this atrocious story becoming global news or global trend in any media, nor do we see international solidarity in this case, especially from "developed nations". I'm saying it as an appeal, both for us to take care of each other for real (cw's are not trivial), and for us to think about world wide strategies of resistance for our bodies and lives that involve the defense of reproductive rights, but also transcend mere legal parameters. Let's learn to identify the law as a fetish (as a commodity), in the still valid Marxist sense of the term and how we still fall into those traps.
