@Internxt I was reading this itsfoss article itsfoss.com/internxt-cloud-ser and I was wondering if you still offer the lifetime plan, because I'd be very interested

As a European company it is no longer possible to trust sensitive user data to companies such as Google that deliberately ignore European privacy legislation and risk hefty fines for their European business customers.

Hey @mullvadnet, I wanted to suggest adding info to the android notification content:

show which country/server you're connected to

(I usually change between a few locations and it would be really cool to quickly see that with just a pull down from the notification bar, instead of having to click it and leave the current app I'm in)

(Maybe add a toggle in settings to do it, in case some users don't want to have that info "more available" on the screen)

Cheers and thanks for your good job!

did you know that #mastodon web UI has OCR built in? so when you are posting screenshots of text, a transcription of the text to put into a description of the image is literally one click away. when uploading image into a toot, just klik 'Edit' and then 'detect text from picture'. that's it.

please help sighted people. it's costing you two extra clicks.

Standard Ebooks is a pretty great source for #drm-free #ebooks. They take #PublicDomain books from #ProjectGutenberg and improve the quality (typography, metadata, cover art, etc).

This looks so promising! I'll try it out these days @mullvadnet

Our first step towards full System Transparency is here with diskless infrastructure. Try it out as a beta on a pair of WireGuard servers in Sweden.

The GDPR is here to protect people's data. Three years after adopting the bill, the EU is starting to fine Big Tech for violating privacy rights. During the last few months:

✅ WhatsApp received a $270 million fine
✅ Google received a €150 million fine
✅ Facebook received a €60 million in fine

#PrivacyMatters

While these fines seem little compared to the revenue Big Tech makes, they are only the beginning! If you want to make a change, switch to Tutanota now! tutanota.com/blog/posts/gdpr-c 😊

As an European lawyer 👨🏼‍⚖🇪🇺 I think this are very good news for us:

Specially because the EDPS has also imposed a 6-month retention period, which means that all data not filtered by that time must be erased, to prevent useless data gathering! If it's relevant to procect citiziens, by all means, do it. If you don't even look at it, ERASE it. It's our right

Linux gamers: with kernel 5.16, you can now connect @PlayStation@twitter.com 5 DualSense controllers to your Linux desktop, thanks to a direct kernel contribution from Sony!

I've been useing @mullvadnet 🔐🌎 for a few weeks now, here are my thoughts: (compared with my previous VPN provider)
- 🏃Start speed: it connects extremely fast! Click and connected!
- 🖥 Connection speed: On same country server, exactly the same as without it (on 600Mbps!). Other servers👍🏻
- 📲 Android app: that was the best part. Using wireguard battery 🔋usage ussage is way lower than even manual servers using OpenVPN for android (let alone the previous VPN default APP...😖)

The difference between a closed, algorithmically-curated silo like Twitter and the fediverse.

Same post.

Twitter: ~43K “followers”, 8 boosts, 58 likes
Fediverse: ~8.43K followers, 57 boosts, 106 likes

Your thousands of “followers” on Twitter mean nothing because the algorithm (i.e., Twitter, Inc.) decides who gets to hear you.
