Greetings fellow Fosstodons!
I am an entirely self-taught technomancer: great for bragging rights but looks terrible on my resume, so I am looking to change that in the future.
I am currently very passionate about cybersecurity, and used my free time during the pandemic to teach myself about Xen and GrapheneOS.
I am looking forward to learning more through this community and its members... hopefully to the point that I can contribute to #foss in a more practical sense.
@poisonoushydra If you like Xen, then also do have a look at Proxmox. I find it very intuitive to use and since a year or so they have proxmox backup server. That's absolutely a winner!
@robbnl It looks like an interesting concept but my understanding of it (correct me if I am wrong) is that it serves mainly as a graphical front end to LXC and KVM. I am familiar with both from a command line perspective but I have never used Proxmox.
@poisonoushydra Welcome to Fosstodon. Things are slow at first but as you find people with similar interests and follow them, others will follow you. Create your bio, add an avatar pic and some emojis to your name so others can learn more about you. If you haven't, sending out an introduction listing your interests will help.

Good luck and have fun.
@poisonoushydra welcome to the club. I'm not so sure everyone around here has such ideal corporate resumes either!
@poisonoushydra Hmmmm try learning signal protocols and some hacking mechanism. As a way to further understand cyber security. Also watch this channel. Computerphile. They are an explainer in cybersecurity
