~=8 Character Passwords Are Dead=~

New benchmark from the Hashcat Team shows a 2080Ti GPU passing 100 Billion password guesses per second (NTLM hash).

This means that the entire keyspace, or every possible combination of:
- Upper
- Lower
- Number
- Symbol

...of an 8 character password can be guessed in:

~2.5 hours

(8x 2080Ti GPUs against NTLM Windows hash)

So I installed Browser from and it works perfectly! Except for one little niggling problem... if you maximize the window, your window decorations go away... makes it kind of hard to close the window with a mouse.

makes me feel like a responsible computer owner. 😃

I chose a Tuxedo computer and @tuxedocomputers offered me a discount on it :)
Here is the computer:

I will publish photos as soon as I get it :)
Big thanks again to all

Gawd, I didn't want to do this, but I really want to try out Fractal ( which means I have to install Flatpak to make it easy and time conscious. I kind of hate Flatpak, but here goes.

I may keep Flatpak after this... maybe not...

@alcinnz I you boosting my browser post made me realize that I haven't tried your browser on my Slackware machine yet! My only issue is that eOS apps don't often build very nicely on Slackware. I am adding yours to my list to try. Midori is _still_ compiling.

Holy cow... mastodon let's you stream the music from my post??? What is this wizardry!?

@bleakgrey introduced me to Kai Engel a few months ago and I just wanted to share his latest album. It is gorgeous.

Okay, time to try out browser.

I like Falkon, but if I am sticking with a GTK based DE, then I want a GTK based browser that is fast and simple.

The only Qt app I am using is . I wish there were a better GTK browser out there.
