@lenny_ yes. this is for our hosted platform. we've been sharing these stats since day 1
we use the number of pageviews to charge for the subscription plans. we also monitor the usage to keep the service running. we're a web analytics tool and making it run / count reliably despite huge ups and downs in traffic is a big part of the job
we don't do any telemetry for self-hosted as we don't manage those servers. for self-hosted, only the hosting company you use would know your usage and not us
