every time I tell certain people in my life about the latest thing I'm working on, the *first* thing they ask me is "are you going to sell it?"
to which the answer is always: NO
- marketing is hard and stupid
- it's not useful or novel enough to possibly be worth selling as an entrepreneur
- that would mean trying to do a Startup, which is Right Out
- what gave you the impression that I was doing this for money anyway

@ellied I get this sometimes with crafts and stuff, ime it’s a way for people to insinuate that they like and want the thing I’m making and would consider buying it from me (but only if it’s cheap)
one way I’ve found to get people to stop is to say “it’d have to be really expensive” and then when they ask, give the price including all the labour and such, which inevitably ends up being costly
and then they say “wtf” and I say “yeah that’s why I’m not selling it”

@elomatreb well, chalk that up as another problem that I'm trying to help solve instead of add to. :|
