Protip: If someone claiming to be an exec at your company texts you this... alert, run away!

@pbx does this even work? I mean who would fall for this? Haven’t heard of businesses that need to give Google pay cards to clients xD

@ilyess It's usually framed as a special favor to a client. Like, the exec is in an important meeting and urgently needs these card numbers to sweeten some big deal. I don't think it fools most people, but it's cheap to try, and if they succeed one out of 100 times that's probably enough.

I got one of these at my previous job too, and in both cases it was the CEO they were impersonating. Makes me wonder if they mine LinkedIn for the raw data.
