It is scary to see how many people/systems are still using #Python 2.x (the blue line in this graph). For context: it went end-of-life over a year ago.

This graph shows daily download stats of my Python RSA package. It shows 770k downloads for Python 3, and 250k are still for Python 2.


@sybren Sounds like I should revive my "How to convert a big codebase from Python 2 to Python 3" talk...

@pbx with a "ü" in my last name, you can imagine how often I've triggered such errors.

@sybren Yeah, our co-workers in Mexico give us similar help in surfacing dumb encoding bugs.
