especialy from those seeking relief from the leashes capitalism puts on them by a different ideology model, to only find out that they love leashes.

In that mode of thought there is nothing in this world thats "leash free".
Even "do what thou will" ends with "shall be the whole of the law", dictating and defining the boundaries of a shared space between individuals.
GPL is about maximizing effort as much as its about liberty, to ensure work isnt wasted or poured into a technical or legal cul de sac you enforce how it can and cant be released.

the best model is the one that does not rely from the start on some leashes.
the GPL is accepted even without lawyers and courts (in the mayoritie of cases).
