@null0x0 I didn't know anything about SMR until today and I already hate it. I can understand *why* it'd be used in low end disks, but not NAS. Sigh.
Now I have to be aware of that crap.
@ndegruchy to be honest I also didn't know about it until this debacle! Shitty move by these companies.
@null0x0 @ndegruchy oooo I nearly went with WD Red for my Synology, but went with Iron Wolf instead.
However, I used Red in my previous NAS for years without issue.
I know nothing about this technology, better do some reading...
