Building OpenWRT firmware for my TP-Link WR740n v4 Router fingers crossed! Messed it up once as I snatched the plug out of the power socket once lol! It got corrupted.
Build is taking some time as I am using system running on Core i3 3rd Gen, 8GB RAM, Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Completed! Testing time!
Yay, it works! Saved a lot of space my custom image. Total Image size = 3.4 MB No PPP so no WAN xD but I use it as a switch + ipv6 6in4 tunnel!
It also seems to compile kernel as well! Nice!
Linux version 4.14.167 (navneet@buildbox) (gcc version 8.3.0 (OpenWrt GCC 8.3.0 r12152-1ab81bf)) #0 Thu Jan 30 18:08:09 2020
Day 2 report
it's stable enough for daily usage! Next upgrade would be to get memory and flash chip and modify the specs so that it can officially support latest OpenWRT firmwares.
Updated the firmware to latest fixes and patch.
Fixed opkg vulnerability on my Router thanks to continuous work by OpenWrt team!
@shouko i use it as a test device and no dsl !
