Not at all! How could an employer track the data from their employees' smartwatches? We're not in IT here, and we've got enough trouble getting our IT contractor do extremely simple tasks right. 😂
I have good bosses, that's not how they work. They didn't track/spy on our work when we were working remotely for a year, and we got bonuses because our "productivity" didn't dip. Wouldn't be surprised it was actually higher.
@normandc @kop316 @JF well, I couldn't possibly have known your bosses were trustworthy, and so on when I made that comment. I recently left a large company that was trying to provide incentives for employees to wear fitness trackers so they could collect data on them. So, I'm not totally off base by suggesting that other employers might be tempted to do the same.
On my end, I still don't understand how an employer can collect data from fitness trackers, when said data is sent to the fitness trackers manufacturers' website. Do you mean companies can strike a deal to purchase their employees' data?!? That would be a total breach of confidentiality, and extremely concerning.
