The random open source project I'm looking at this week:

It's a Mahjong client/server written in Vala with SDL. I haven't used either extensively, but I've played with them for elementary OS apps and Nintendo Switch homebrew (respectively).

I compiled a copy for my friends (because there are no good online Mahjong websites) and they seem to like it (except the music apparently "sounds like a windows 98 horror game").

I think I'll fix that and clean up the interface a bit. Don't really feel the need to learn this person's custom game engine right now...
