Update, on Fedora on Surface Laptop 4, Touch doesn't work. I didn't use it on Windows, so I didn't bother to check. Personally, not a deal breaker for me.

@fedora seems to be treating my Surface's battery much better than Windows 11 did.

I just installed @fedora on my @surface Laptop 4 and it seems everything works. I was going to install the Surface-Linux kernel, but I don’t know if I need to now.

I just discovered @fedora image writer for WIndows... downloads distro and puts it on the ole' USB all in one click. Nice!

I want to setup and @getumbrel server.. thinking of getting an old dell off amazon, i5, 16gb ram, 1tb ssd... only 200 bucks... PC is like 8 years old though...hmmmm?

Someone needs to make a Linux Distro specifically with the Linux Surface kernel.

So I found a good email app on iOS, one that is a traditional client and super flexible similar to K9 Mail on Android. It's called Preside

I'm looking for an email app similar to K-9 mail on Android but for iOS. Need to be able to manage multiple identities. Any suggestions?

I keep going back to toying with the idea of running my own mail server, though logic dictates I’m nuts.

I've set up two sites on @digitalocean s app platform in the past few days. It's really a nice painless experience so far.

Going to be moving off Micro.Blog. I’m trying my own DYI setup using Static pages, everything is very manual, but I’m learning a lot. Thanks for the great platform @manton , I really appreciate the help and genuine friendly service you guys provide.

Operation dyi is progressing, I just learned how to manually create an RSS feed. Soon the blog and podcast will be complete 100% DYI solutions without using someone else's platform. Note: I may use some external tools like [sovereign feeds]( to create the podcast feed, but the file is still updated by me.

I feel the LiveShare plugin in VSCode needs a toggle for light and dark mode right in the tab for your preview. Switching back and forth in the browser or OS settings is really tedious.

Doing a completely static site... does it matter?

What would be considered worse? Playing COD mobile 8 hours straight or binging 8 hrs of Netflix? Or is it equal?
