Is there an open-source note-taking app that is web-based and can be embedded and offered to users of an existing webapp?
Both Athens Research and LogSeq have turned into desktop apps with the cloud storage option limited to their "Pro" editions.

@janriemer Yes, this is quite close. Thanks! If there's something that supports storage in database, bidirectional-linking, flashcards with spaced-repetition etc, that would be perfect. I am willing to spend time figuring out how to integrate it in my webapp https://learnawesome.org/ which happens to be written in Ruby on Rails.
