Hot take: In most stories a la "We achieved 400x performance gain by rewriting it in $LANGUAGE" the speedup is not because of $LANGUAGE but because you spent time and braincells rethinking and rearchitecting your problem/solution
@nicofee Not to mention the thing was already made so a lot of the work was already done.
@nicofee you are right here, we gained a lot of performance after switching to php7 from 5. But mist of it came from finding errors in the code or approaches that were not ideal. Switching languages means analysing your code and that means you will find stuff that needs improvement
