Did you know that "git checkout -" works much like "cd -" and switches back and forth between two branches?

You're welcome.

I'd like to share a short lesson based on my experience working with computers for a couple of decades or so.

1) Don't ever put all the screws back in until you know it's working.

2) Putting all the screws in will stop something from working.

Wow, pretty awesome customer service from Appveyor! I sent them an email asking why I can't get CTest results from HaloRay to show up in Appveyor.

Less than 24 hours later I got a pull request from them to HaloRay fixing the problem. 😲

Dear mastodon.

Please stop being negative on things you don't like. (google, fb etc). You dont add anything, and nagging is easy.

Be positive on the things you do like (Foss, beer, art music). You maybe do interest some ppl.

Ugh. After forays into JavaScript, Rust and such, testing tools for C++, CMake and Qt feel so painful.

@kev My favorite strategy for comments is to post the blog post link to at least one of Lobste.rs, Hacker News, or Reddit depending on which are most applicable. Then just add a section called "comments" to the bottom of your post with a link to the comment page of the respective websites.

No moderation necessary on your part, and it functions as advertising if you want that kind of thing.
