@neauoire
There was a mail service with kiki in it's domain. Unfortunately it's dead right now. I can't remember the domain exactly but think of neauoire@kikimail.com as your email address, awesome 😁

khorshidi (means solar) calendar is an observation-based calendar, unlike the Gregorian rule-based, which makes it more accurate. It begins at the midnight nearest to the instant of the vernal equinox. Thunderbird does not support khorshidi calendar. There was a few deprecated add-ons. I wrote a new add-on compatible with newer versions of Thunderbird:

I've made a new app, Identity. It helps you compare different versions of a video or an image, for example, to see the quality difference, or to analyze output from multiple variants of a video processing algorithm (my use-case!).

Grab it on Flathub: flathub.org/apps/details/org.g

Huge thanks to everyone on freenode #gstreamer for kindly answering a multitude of my questions, thus helping me bring this application to life.

Kick-off for Hacktoberfest: hacktoberfest.digitalocean.com

Unfortunately people seem to spam projects with invalid PRs a lot this year: blog.domenic.me/hacktoberfest/ 😒

On ():
* One 4k 28" screen, scaled at 1.5x
* One 4k 15" screen, scaled at 2x
* Consistent 60 FPS running on a laptop's iGPU
* Everything is scaled perfectly based on which output it's currently on
* Even the mouse cursor is always scaled correctly based on which monitor it's on

Show me an X11 set-up which can do _any_ of that correctly.

Do you want to work on free and open source software as a full-time job? People ask me all the time how to find companies who might hire you for this, and I share this command line snippet:

git log -n100000 --format="%ae" | cut -d@ -f2 | sort -u | less

This will produce a list of email domains who are committing in a given git repo, which often corresponds pretty closely with the list of companies willing to hire you to work on that project and others like it.

Just playing a bit in #Krita. Really have to practice some more. I used to be better at this :(
Still. If anybody likes this mastodon, it's fair use. #MastoArt
