@mrak Some time ago (last year?), #signal reduced the default quality of photos in order to save data.

Try going into settings; data and storage; media quality; sent media quality. I'm on my own at the moment, so I can't test whether that gives full resolution, but test it out and see if the quality is good enough for your needs. Let me know how you get on — you've piqued my interest. 🙂
