Tonight's movie choice... on 19 Feb, what other choice can there possibly be? The 28th anniversary of "Army of Darkness". Groovy!! πŸ˜πŸ‘

I completely misunderstood the DeepSkyStacker curves. Lesson 1... read the instructions!! 🀣 100% crop into Orion's sword.

Reprocessed last night's 10 image stack through DeepSkyStacker but this time retained some of the light polution, and gave the sky a feint blue tone...

First cautious experiment with "Deep Sky Stacker 4.2.5". This is 10 sky images stacked. The noise reduction is amazing (almost unnaturally good, actually) and there are so many settings to explore. 🧐

Sundried Tomato Sourdough, today's bread project. πŸ˜‹πŸž Added 75g of tomato to my regular 500g loaf recipe. Definite tomatoey 'zing' to it, although the rise was perhaps a little subdued. Delicious though!!

PS: I combined various online adverb word lists into a single "adverb.dic" file; a veritable cacophony of adverbial horrors! πŸ˜‚ Happy to share that somewhere, if it could be useful to anyone.

"The road to hell is paved with adverbs." πŸ˜‰ In LibreOffice, has anyone found a way of highlighting adverbs? I like the LanguageTools extension, but I also wanted to highlight adverbs using a different colour. I'm experimenting with an "Exception Custom Dictionary" which highlights adverbs as spelling mistakes. It works, but it's not ideal...

Firstly, I'm probably more surprised than I should be to find an entire YouTube channel devoted to the question, "What happened if I photocopy a..." from mirrors and money, to water! What happens if I photocopy a mobile phone with the front camera running, is probably my personal favourite! 🀣

Wondering who, if anyone, will be geeky enough to mention my laptop bag decoration?! "There are no friends at dusk." πŸ˜‰

"You have to 'have' dropped it..." πŸ˜‰

This whole "reversing the flow of time" thing is trickier than it looks. (And wearing a loose fitting hoody was a mistake!) Need to give this a bit more thought. πŸ€”

My laptop and mobile telephony fortune telling continues... πŸ˜‰πŸ“·

"Actions have consequence. This card represents truth, justice, fairness, and legal matters. Perhaps there are karmic lessons to be learned from the present situation?"

"CoverYourTracks" thinks my browser fingerprint is unique, and recommends Privacy Badger... but I'm already using that, along with uBlock Origin, ClearURLs, CanvasBlocker, and Decentraleyes. Maybe I need a user agent randomiser? πŸ€”

"The events portrayed in this film are all true. The names are real names of real people and real organisations."
--Return of the Living Dead (1985)

Presumably, you can only fire this laser if you know the top-secret, uncrackable PIN combination: 12345...
"Use the Schwartz!!" 🀣

Last of these night sky pics for now. This one handheld at 0.5sec, ISO-4000, while leaning on a tree! πŸ“·

Looking south across the Tyne Valley. Handheld 0.6sec... at 100% there's a very slight motion blur, but barely visible when resized to 2048px. πŸ€” πŸ“·

Not too bad... for a long exposure whilst leaning on a fence-post! πŸ˜‰ πŸ“· The village in the foreground is Throckley, with Newcastle glowing in the background.

Does the crystal ball reveal anything about my new laptop...?! 🀣

Alleged cost to UK tax payers: Β£30
Approximate supermarket value: Β£5
Amount of my surprise: Zero
