@mookie From yesterday's reveal of the new IP, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, it looks like we have an entirely new game with him as the antagonist. Sold!

Hey fediverse has anyone out there got any experience with fires and/or burning? My kitchen is currently engulfed in flames and from everything I've read that's generally a pretty bad thing. I really need some help or advice about this. I've been trying to inhale all the smoke myself to stop it ruining my furniture but there's just too much and it's actually pretty hot.
Boosts would be appreciated, this might be a long shot but I'm sure someone else out there has had this problem too.

So, this is what I'm looking for. I want to fire up a blog again, just for my occasional meanderings, but I want to do static, not some DB driven thing. I'd love to have an application on my computer that would output the blog files to static HTML files, kind of something like Wordpress but without all that junk I need to install that would do nothing for me in this case. Does anybody know of something like this? A GUI drive blogging application that outputs to static HTML?

Tonight's movie was Unicorn Store (2017). I watched it to see Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson on screen together again -- I think they were great together in Captain Marvel.

The film was okay, it was mostly cute, but outside of that it wasn't very memorable.

Larson definitely has a future as a director and I hope she gets more work behind the camera along with in front of the camera.

Worth a viewing? Yes.

I finished The Orville's second season: What an awesome season! So much better than the first season. I love how this show tackles complex social issues while still being fun to watch and also funny. The Orville is the true spiritual successor to Star Trek.

Microsoft has surprised many in the Linux developer community in recent years. Surprises have included bringing things like adding the Bash shell to Windows, or native OpenSSH in Windows 10, and even including Ubuntu, SUSE Linux, and Fedora all in the Windows Store. Microsoft is now going even further, with plans to ship a full Linux kernel directly in Windows 10.

FOX seems to believe in The Orville. The production budget for Identity part two must have been huge. A great way to wrap up a tremendous two-episode arc.

I just finished The Orville episode Identity part 1 and whoa, things escalated pretty quickly! An interesting turn for the show. I am really enjoying this second season of The Orville.
