The Rook is a stunningly good looking show. Each shot has a feeling that it has been thought out thoroughly and story-boarded.

The story and plot though feels as if the showrunners are trying too hard and barely succeeding. There is a faux feeling the the seriousness of the show.

This second episode is 50 minutes long and not much of substance happens except in the last few moments of the episode.

@mookie I had a look at it last night purely to see what it looks like as UHD content on virginmedia.

I felt that the production quality was nowhere near what's achievable with UHD and much existing TV in HD quality betters it.

As for the plot, it didn't hold my attention at all and I can't say that I'm inclined to watch any more of it.

I think virginmedia have put technology before content and I can't help thinking that Netflix would have done it better.
