Knock knock, who's there? An *experimental* kernel package that works on both the OG AND the !

Great progress by @awai and Undef on unifying device-specific packages.

@mobian @awai nice! Are the sources of this available somewhere? Only for curiosity, what is the difference with the megous kernel?

@mobian @awai that's really great! We were trying to do something similar for the pinephone(pro) #GNOME OS images, but we were using megous for now as we do not have the man power to work on that yet :)

@jjardon @awai there is also a project in the pipeline called _tweakster_, that does runtime configuration based on the HW, so we can e.g. do alsa configuration without device-specifuc packages. But ... lack of resources, you know?

@mobian @awai yeah sounds familiar! We will keep a eye on that project though; thanks for all your work! (I'm a mobian user myself :))

@jjardon @awai to be honest, we are a bit disappointed with the kernel situation of the OG PP. Everyone started nicely with a community repo of a kernel, and by now every distro maintains their own PP kernel or simply use the non-uostreamable megi kernel. That is why a few distros ( eg @postmarketOS) have pledged to collaborate better on a common PPP kernel.

P.S. and this is no way meant to discredit the incredible work by megi.

@mobian @awai @postmarketOS I see. Well I think we will use this (at least for now); one of the points of GNOME OS (like other projects) is to be as close as upstream as possible
