Plasma 5.19 beta is now out. It comes with improvements to Plasma's consistency and usability as well as to Plasma's inbuilt tools.

Depends on where you look. You may find a few examples for that, but then you have Xiaomi's music player on my phone which forces you to accept terms and conditions and privacy policies to just play some songs. Compare that to "Music" from F-Droid which is extraordinary.

Also compare Reddit with Slide from F-Droid.

There might be some big things where free software lacks but the small things are often better IMO.
