@jonocarroll @jonthegeek @thomas_sandmann In the Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs they call it data-directed programming and there’s a chapter where they walk you through creating an S3 like dispatch system from scratch in scheme. It’s ridiculously simple. Honestly so much of R / S feels like a copy down from that book.
