I'm testing out the new Brave search. It was pretty much a no brainer to replace Bing as the b shortcut in Vivaldi. Looks nice so far. It'll be interesting to see how search compares to more established engines like DDG.

I just heard a security person refer to Oh-day vulnerabilities. I've never heard that before. I know she was talking about Zero Day vulnerabilities, and I know that sometimes people will pronounce Zero as Oh, but I've never heard it said Oh-day in that context. Is that a thing? Am I the weird one?

I was playing around with the new version of Vivaldi today, and they've added a really cool feature where it creates a nice looking graphical page when you view an RSS feed. Unfortunately, if you add that feed to a panel, it just shows the raw code. That's not optimal. I wish I could see the pretty version in a panel.

Sooo, I put in a feature request. Fingers crossed.

My work computer has spontaneously developed an "Activate Windows" watermark on the desktop. Yea, this is going to go well. 🙄

Looks like the IndieGoGo campaign for the JingPad is live if you're interested in supporting a Linux tablet with a very iPadish interface. They've already met their suspiciously modest $20,000 goal. Not sure what that's about.

I got an email from work informing me that it was "Great Outdoors Month". It's suppose to be 114F/46C today. They just MIGHT want to rethink their timing.

Testing out Cutefish today. I'm not a huge fan of it, but mostly because I'm not a huge fan of macOS, and this DE is a little too faithful to the original. If you're a macOS fan, it might be just your speed. When it's finished that is. It's definitely not entirely ready yet.

Testing out the "Feeds" in the new Vivaldi 4.0. It's pretty good. Simple, to the point. No thrills no frills. Does the job. I wish it would sync over Vivaldi's online services, but maybe next version.

Customer: Hey, thought that you should know this change in production is going live on the 6th of June.

Me: It's the 8th of June today. Did you mean July?

Them: No, June.

Me: Well, if it was going to blow something up, we probably would have noticed by now.

Message I got today:
