Just a heads up for those of you who support us in keeping the lights on. Patreon is now using #Apple's in-app purchase system. That means if you choose to donate in the future, 30% of what you donate is going to go to Apple and not #Fosstodon. If you login to the web page instead of using the app that won't be the case.
@mike How does Apple even begin to justify that fee? Two or three percent, sure, but thirty percent? That's just overt theft.
@elaterite It's the other side of the claim that Apple claims you can't use a 3rd party app store on its platforms for "security reasons".
