@mike noice! I am going for a full rebuild this time... so I am backing things up like crazy :D

@utahcon I did 33 from scratch, so I figure I'm pretty safe with an upgrade this time around. I'll do a clean install of 35 or 36. Probably 35 just to be on the safe side.

Didn't do a clean install of Fedora since Fedora 21 🤪😎

@mike SLACKER! 😛

Kidding, Mike, don't hurt me.

@scylla Heh, youngest son woke me up at a little after three this morning and I didn't get the chance to go back to bed before my youngest daughter was trying to get up. I didn't make it back to bed until the Sun was already up. Honestly, it's either Fedora 34 or a nap.

@mike A nap sounds SO good! You should have gone for that!!

@scylla It's still on the menu for this afternoon. For sure.

@mike I'm going to give it a week or two before I upgrade, but I'm looking forward to it.

@sbanwart I'd love to say that I'm cautious about this kind of thing, but usually I just let things fly and let the updates catch up to me. Probably not the smartest. Still, I tried out the Beta for a couple weeks in a VM, so I'm feeling pretty confident. Dash to Dock isn't working yet, so there's that frustration, but so far it's been really good!

@mike Normally I do that too, but this is my work laptop, so I'm going to be a little more cautious.

@sbanwart Well, nuts. It broke my Jekyll installation. Reinstallation isn't working. Now I have to figure out what's going on there. Issue #1 I suppose.

@mike @sbanwart afaik Jekyll uses Ruby 2.7 and has not updated that, imo that's jekyll's fault, not the distro's. Since ruby is on version 3.x afaik

@mike Very cool! I'll try next week to see if anything too serious pops up in the mean time.

Regarding upgrades, I've been doing inplace upgrades since 24, I believe, and it has been smooth sailing 🙂

@SciencePhysicist Right you are. I updated the normal :fedora: version, and I created a :fedora_old: for those that feel in the mood for the classic.

@mike Beta was working fine, but after upgrading it to Stable my lappy won't boot up. No luck on fresh install either. Too lazy to figure it out and I ended up installing F33.
