Kinda saw that coming.

"Richard M. Stallman resigns — Free Software Foundation — working together for free software"

fsf.org/news/richard-m-stallma

@mike It's interesting to read all the posting. This is bad on so many levels .

@mike
What's the saying? Slow motion train wreck.

Also, people seem to forget it was not the first RMS controversy.

@mike One massive dumpster fire that's going to be going for quite a while. I mean what he said was bad, but if RMS and Linus Torvalds are not around, MS seems to have a key to the kingdom.

@DonMcCollough @mike Never mind. I forgot that we invented the Internet, I can look up things myself. :P

@mike Yeah, so that happened. I never thought that I'd would see that day.

@mike it's about time. I believe that his image and reputation were holding the FSF back in terms of reach.

@mike a little sad, a little not. I guessing I hate change.

@mike What’s that saying - something about heroes always disappointing in the end?

I’m glad he resigned, though I am surprised given that this isn’t the first time people have taken issue with his statements.

@jamie @mike is this the first time it coincides with another major story (the Epstein case) and also in a post- world? I think it is, and I think that makes all the difference.
