I was in a meeting yesterday, and one of my co-workers used the phrase "eats my head", as in "you know what really eats my head?" I must admit, I LOVE that. I'm stealing it. I will use it consistently moving forward.

In Russian we have something similar, but it refers mostly not to something but to someone. "He has eaten up my brain!" is a classic example.

Yeah, an example how similar almost word-for-word idioms can mean quite different things in different languages. "False friend of the translator" it's called.
