Does anyone else have mixed feelings about ZFS? It’s pretty amazing and is basically a better version of btrfs, but at the same time it has an angling license and was hacked (questionably) into the Linux kernel. I want btrfs raid2 to not make me nervous. :(
@mholiv OpenSolaris was an amazing OS. ZFS still lives on at least. I use ZFS on both my laptop and desktop. Works wonders. CDDL vs GPL is a non concern for me.
I'm boring and still use EXT4. I'll let everyone else risk their data to prove it out for a few years before I trust it.
@Tayo XFS is my “safe” solution. EXT4 is probably the best example of a safe fs in terms of “battle tested.”
