Thereโ€™s shipped as base package in . i donโ€™t need anymore. :slackware:

(privacy-enhanced live OS) has been released to 2021.02-rc !

Quite big updates:
- Tencent (yes the notorious yet popular and IM tool around communities) is experimentally added. It runs under which should well restrict its behaviors. ๐Ÿ˜‚

- Other bloated applications (those installed in binary form) are also started under firejail .

github.com/mdrights/LiveSlak#d

Yes! Finally I figured out why -desktop doesnโ€™t start on my live system ...

itโ€™s caused by the package manager (app+person) did not do the symlinking after installation. haha ๐Ÿ˜†

Nonetheless i still didnโ€™t figure out why it had done the symlinks in the previous packaging/installing...

Okay the root cause is the notorious bloated all-in-one offline javascript app (saying electron) , that makes so many symlinks?

me should study in-depth for , as i am trying to use (an IM by ) on my live OS, despite the fact that QQ is notorious for its bad records of violating userโ€™s .

I have tried it under firejail initially today and itโ€™s worked well.

So I have :

- for developing;
- live -current for doing sensitive stuff ๐Ÿ˜
- Slackware 14.2 for gaming and package building.

I am proud to announce the release of my -enhanced live OS (: a distro based on ): 2021.01.

I am very happy excited that is working now thanks to Slackware-current as it has updated kernel to 5.10.x. Hooray ๐Ÿฅ‚

Other updates: and some sorts of tools for are added. And right, .16 has new look, ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ great.

-current has already been updated to 5.10.x! Hooray ๐Ÿ˜„

I spent quite a while to compile and install it . ๐Ÿ˜…

Letโ€™s see whether the builtin works on my now!

Happy new year ๐ŸŽŠ (from UTC +8)
On the eve of the great new year, I did :

- upgrade my good old 14.2 system as well as compiling 5.10

- switch to a new support room for my Linux in network: :privacytools.io

#2021

me finished recording/blogging my setup of (just for SSH key authentication) on and .

Hew ~ quite complicated tools and deps to install. But this is one of the most important things achieved by/for me this year.

Hmmm... i think itโ€™s time to abandon , embracing BSD. The former is less conscientious and prudent. No official security auditing. Itโ€™s pseudo official ports .org mixes binary installation with source code compilation. No software license control. After all, you should take care of everything. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Having searched around for a n issue of the on my live -current. Turns out to be problems with my kernel and its headers.

Congratulations ๐ŸŽ‰ I have been successfully installed opensc and pcsc-lite via on my -current based live distro: . Formerly they were incompatible with Slackware-current that sooo frustrated me. Yep pkgsrc is serious ๐Ÿง :netbsd:

Me gonna build opensc using in . Should be fun. Be grateful to all *BSD developers for their diligent documenting. Good documentation promotes great user experience. :netbsd:

Oh i should learn a bit of (a os client for ), should i? is broken ๐Ÿ˜” on -current...

Sometimes I am quite annoyed by the failure to build apps on -current, as I donโ€™t have time to inspect it. Today there is no luck for . TBH .org has succeeded most of their builds on -current. but was a success.

The philosophy of is much appreciated which is also the reason of my choice of : back to the essence. Use git, rsync, wget/curl to do the pkg management jobs, why not? e.g. no more wrappers. :netbsd: :slackware:

Oh there isnโ€™t a for -manager at slackbuilds.org yet!

Just spent almost a whole casual weekend day (with nice weather) learning and setting up my 5 on 14.2! Actually not so difficult but quite a lot tools and deps to install. .org is awesome as it fulfills all dep/tools I need!
