@joejazzy interesting - i launched firefox in a fresh profile and it does indeed show the dots. Guess some old crufty CSS I have in my profile somewhere is causing this. Thanks for the clue
@joejazzy It was the ui.prefersReducedMotion in my config that was causing it :)
@mcol I think I messed with that setting a while back to try to stop the address bar from expanding as soon as I clicked on it
@mcol For some reason I couldn't get it to stop expanding until I disabled 'Top Sites' in the address bar settings. Now it only expands when I start typing a query
