How do people remotely access server logs for regular check ups? Set up email on the server and send stuff to yourself?
@mcol Either a remote agent, that reports back, glances or cockpit to get a remote view, or a syslog type service to collect information about the server. Take your pick.
@ndegruchy currently I have a daily cronjob on the server that summarises information from logwatch and a number of other services. It's getting that information to myself that I'm wondering about. How do remote agents report back?
@mcol Generally, SSH. That's what Cockpit uses.
@ndegruchy I see. Ok cool thanks, I'll check it out
