@efegurkan the PinePhone has a proprietary modem in it, instead of using a soc with a built-in modem like normal phone designs it has a seperate modem module. This modem is integrated on the pcb but functions exactly the same as an usb modem dongle (since it is one). The proprietary firmware is running on the CPU in the modem which is treated as a black box, it also has no access to the main cpu because USB isn't a bus with direct memory access.
