Google Search revenue down 9.8% year over year, dropping by $2.3 billion to $21.32 billion for Q2. This means that Alphabet reported its first revenue decline in history (2% decline). Cloud, YouTube still doing well.
Pandemic and the advertiser "boycott" cannot stop Facebook! Daily users increased 12% year over year to 1.79 billion. Monthly users across all Facebook apps up 14% to 3.14 billion. Revenue up 11% to $18.69 billion.
And Amazon is just killing all the other stores. Revenue up 40% to $88.9 billion in Q2. And increasingly by shopping on Amazon, you're clicking on promoted products in their search results: Advertising revenue up 41% to $4.22 billion.
Yet another reason to stick with my boycott of Amazon
@markosaric does YouTube still make a loss? I always thought that is was a money pit for Google.
