I had pondered to start a podcast on and general Linux topics for a while. So when @PINE64 asked, I just had to do it. @Ezra is an awesome co-host and we had fun recording the first episode!

Go give it a listen at !

@linmob Is Gnome Podcasts your podcast player of choice on the PinePhone? Are there any others that you know of?

@Lofenyy @PINE64 @Ezra

@0x1C3B00DA @Ezra @PINE64 @Lofenyy Yes, it definitely is. Other options (that I did not add to yet, because they imho don‘t work well enough on mobile yet) are GPodder (which seems to use an external player and therefore often does not save the position you paused), and Rhythmbox can be used for podcasts as well.

Have yalls tried Sxmo on pinephone?

I know it sounds crazy, but DWM is the best (and fastest) interface I've ever used on a phone.

It's amazing how much you can do with only three buttons and a tiling WM.

@logenkain @PINE64 @Ezra I definitely did
It‘s not for me though, I just can’t remember all the gestures and button-presses.

@linmob @PINE64 @Ezra

Well, all I use was the menu pretty much. Three power hits for deep sleep. So fast.

I just put KDE on, it's... still rough. And Mobian is sluggish. A bit extra power in the pinephone would be nice.

Perhaps we just need a super basic software distribution, kinda like the route the Mega65 guies are doing with the Mega Phone.

Having a snappy phone would be nice for a change (And I'm not talking about just the pinephone here).
