Here's another #LibreOffice feature that you might not know about: text redaction! This protects sensitive information and helps users and organisations to comply with regulations on confidentiality or #privacy https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/en-US/text/shared/guide/redaction.html #foss #opensource
@libreoffice je n'ai pas compris. Ça sert à quoi ?
@JerryWham The help page that we linked to explains it. You can also switch the help to French, eg: https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/fr/text/shared/guide/redaction.html
@libreoffice I read it but I don't understand the purpose
@JerryWham Many users and organisations, when working with documents, need to comply with local/international regulations on confidentiality. This feature allows them to redact sensitive parts of the documents, to comply with the regulations.
@JerryWham @libreoffice If you have internal documents and sometimes you have to share them with externals, but without personal data like bank accounts, names, addresses, etc this is a really good way to write your documents.
If you don't redact then while you're writing them, you'll have to read them again and redact before sharing.
Really useful!
@forolinux @libreoffice OK. Thank you. This example helps me to understand.
@libreoffice I found this feature few days ago when a user asked me about privacy, sharing documents with some personal data.
It's simple simply great. I also practiced with the auto redaction.
