Friends, I love, love, LOVE @LibreOffice. Interoperable w/ everything, tons of documentation, smaller files, and isn't a resource hog. If you're ever fed up with Google Docs or MicroSoft Office, you should really give Libre Office a shot.

@makerblock @libreoffice I thought this is already common knowledge. I find stuff in minutes in the this wonderful documentation.

@earl @libreoffice So few people know about Libre Office, it's not even funny. Most seem to default to Office, even using the terrible version tied to various hosting platforms, or Google Docs without realizing there's a better way to live!

@makerblock @earl Thanks for helping to spread the word 😊

@libreoffice @earl Absolutely! I've been trying to get my office to switch for years :)

@makerblock @earl Let us know if you need any persuasive arguments and examples! You can point to the professional support options, for instance, or these examples of migrations to LibreOffice: wiki.documentfoundation.org/Li

@libreoffice Well... FWIW, to get a business to switch, I think it would need a friendly front page w/ basic info + prominent links / case studies

The PDF brochures (wiki.documentfoundation.org/Ga) are great, but only found b/c I went looking for them

@makerblock Try this: libreoffice.org/download/libre – And regarding OpenOffice, see the attached infographic, which shows the differences...

@libreoffice WOW - that's a LOT of updates! Well, that solves that...

@makerblock Yes – and it's not just the updates. Apache OpenOffice has major problems fixing security issues on time: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_O – so using it in a business is risky.
