LibreOffice's Quality Assurance (QA) community works hard every day to squash bugs and keep the free office suite super solid. 218 bugs were fixed in October – and if you have some technical knowledge, you can contribute back and give us a hand! More here: qa.blog.documentfoundation.org

@libreoffice
I read a blog that with free office you can open a word file that is a book with lots of comments with no problems where in libreoffice it either fails or lags a lot. Can I have a comment on that?

@dreamerchris @libreoffice can't say much till you provide some file. also they are comments so microsoft word may have some weird syntax for it which makes libreoffice writer mix it up.

I don't know about freeoffice thing, if you think this is a bug in libreoffice then file a bug report.

I would also suggest not using a format that forces others to use proprietary programs in order to read it.
