It's not a night out until Cotton Eye Joe comes on.

I seem to have joined the leaving party of my friend's colleague, which is a little awkward. That said, always nice to be back in Glasgow.

Sending good vibes for everybody's weekend.

Excellent being able to play on Manjaro via Proton at the same perceivable quality as on Windows. What a technology...

Started up MGS5 for I think the 4th time, since I've never finished it and would like to. Loved 3 and 4 but have always got distracted while playing through 5. Can be my aim while the SO is away for a couple weeks.

Me: It can take up to two hours for the mailbox I've given you access to to appear in Outlook.
Reprobate: *literally 30 seconds later* Can you please come over and have a look? Doesn't seem to be appearing...

Sausage fingers? More like bloody watermelon fingers!

That awkward moment you ask for somebody's account password because you're sure the issue they're having is due to them mistyping it, and are then found to be right.

How would one forward a non-HTTP(S) port to a machine behind a reverse proxy? Been trying to do it with Apache but no luck. Have a firewall configured on the landing web server with this port allowed, but I can't find away to forward requests to destination server.

Got @azuracast installed successfully last night which is an achivement... Install was simple but my reverse proxy was causing issues which were resolved by a tick box in the settings. Now need to find out why my soundcard has a habit of making the audio signal deeper as soon as BUTT opens.

Maybe since it's already being used to output audio on my desktop on top of transmitting sound from the decks. Will investigate later on.

We are, a lot of us, a great deal sadder, more anxious, more incomplete and more restless than we really need to be because of something very large that is missing from our lives. What’s worse, we don’t even know what this thing is and how much we crave it, because we don’t have the right concepts, experience or encouragement to help us locate it. What we long for and are slowly dying without is: community.

tl;dr you’re celebrating Labor Day because socialist workers (many if not most of them immigrants) decided to fight for 8-hour days 140 years ago. Many died from police violence.

Not against the concept of work, since we all have to do what we can to sustain humanity, but the quality of the jobs available and how much of your precious life they demand is where I have issue.

Yep, having one of those "but why are things like this?" days.

On one hand I'm happy it's Friday, on the other I'm sad that many of us, including me, wish away 5 days of our lives for the 2 that remain each week, where we're permitted to actually live our lives.

Boths VMs created. WriteFreely blog - take 3, and the new Nextcloud server. Will add some friends to NC tomorrow to see what they think. Will need to write up some ELI5 documentation to help.
